Beloved Father and Creator of the universe,
today I may not have the strength or desire to begin the journey,
but let duty rise above my will.
Give me the strength to start
and the endurance to continue.
Walk with me along the road
and protect me from every danger and evil.
Grant me the wisdom to face challenges
and the courage to confront the unknown.
Give me the prudence I need
to drive safely,
and help me anticipate the mistakes of others
so they do not catch me off guard.
Help me understand that difficulties on the road
are warnings I must learn to hear.
Show me the right path,
and place in my heart Your command to Joshua:
to be strong and courageous,
knowing You are always with me.
Allow me to enjoy my work,
to do it with faith and joy,
and to turn every mile into a blessing.
And when I return,
grant me the blessing of embracing my coworkers,
my friends,
and, if You allow it, my family.
Make every driver a brother,
and give me a heart that is compassionate,
wise, but never indifferent.
